From the Platte County Citizen
World War I ceremony at Camden Point, 5-22-18
From Fox 26 Newspressnow.com:
CAMDEN POINT, Missouri — Anthony Layton believes a long memory to be essential, especially when it comes to honoring those who have sacrificed for their country.
The retired Army colonel said that memory should extend at least 242 years, the duration of the nation’s freedom.
“Today’s ceremony is indicative of our long memory,” Layton said Tuesday in helping dedicate two military headstones for Platte County soldiers killed in World War I.
